The ETUCE is coordinating the project IR-EDUREFORM: “Social dialogue and industrial relations in education: the challenges of multi-level governance and of privatisation in Europe”, a new one-year European research project, working in a consortium with the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium), the University of Naples Federico II (Italy) and the University of Warsaw (Poland).

On 3 April 2020, the one-year research project was kicked off at a meeting between ETUCE and the project consortium partners: the Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium), the University of Naples Federico II (Italy) and the University of Warsaw (Poland). Partners agreed to focus the research on the factors behind the long-term trend towards liberalisation of the education sector. Topics include, among others: school choice policies, New Public Management reforms, Public-Private Partnership in the education sector. This new project takes a further step by attempting to ascertain the impact of such trends on industrial relations, including social dialogue and collective bargaining. Read more
